When did you get into whisky?<\/strong><\/h3>It was sometime around 2018. A friend of mine came by with a bottle of Lagavulin 16<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>I said I didn't really have a thing for whisky, but he said wait until you taste this. The bottle opened and I was immediately amazed by the smell, I took my first sip and I was sold!<\/p>
After this, my journey through whisky wonderland started and never stopped.<\/p>
Made my first trip to Scotland last year and I will definitely go back!<\/p>

What's your favourite whisky?<\/h3>
Having one favourite whisky is impossible, there is so much choice and every whisky tastes different.<\/p>
Then you have the cask choice which is very decisive for the flavour and your taste palette which is constantly evolving.<\/p>
I do notice that I have preferences of whiskies from specific distilleries, at the moment they are Glen Garioch<\/u><\/a>, Glendronach<\/u><\/a>, Arran<\/u><\/a>, Caol Ila <\/u><\/a>and Bunnahabhain<\/u><\/a>. But come to think of it, I could name a few more distilleries....<\/p>Then you also have the independent bottlers who often release very good cask strength and single cask whiskies, think Finn Thomson, James Eadie, Gordon & Macphail and Signatory.<\/p>
For me, whisky does depend on mood and for every mood there are different whiskies that are tasty. As I said, it's impossible to name a favourite.<\/p>

Have you ever had an amazing or special experience that whisky has played a part in?<\/h3>
There is a pretty big whisky community, both on socials and beyond.<\/p>
Thanks to this lovely community, I was once invited to the Glendronach Connoisseur's Club. At a very nice venue there, we enjoyed a sumptuous dinner paired with Glendronach's complete core range (12,15,18 and 21). To finish, we had dessert paired with a 29-year-old Glendronach Grandeur!<\/p>
An incredible experience of a whisky I could never normally buy and all in great company.<\/p>
Also every year there are different whisky festivals to go to that have amazing whiskies to taste and great people to meet!<\/p>
